DCX Liquid Cooling Systems, Europe’s definitive provider of high-quality liquid cooling solutions, has been selected to supply innovative, large-scale Facility Distribution Units (FDUs), Facility Water Systems (FWS), and Technology Cooling Systems (TCS) loops for DataOne, Europe’s first gigascale AI hosting infrastructure data center in Grenoble, France. This Tier III–quality campus will rely on DCX’s liquid cooling technologies to deliver exceptional reliability, energy efficiency, and performance for AI-driven workloads.
“We are thrilled to provide the essential cooling technologies needed for such deployment. With the rise of AI, liquid cooling is becoming, in fact, the standard cooling, and I am more than happy to see braver and broader adoption of these solutions in datacenters across the globe” said Maciek Szadkowski, Chief Technology Officer at DCX Liquid Cooling Systems. “By slashing energy usage, extending hardware lifespans, and delivering knockout performance, our solutions are finally proving what we have been saying all along: the future of high-performance computing is going to rely on liquid cooling.”
With future capacity soaring to a potential 400MW, this landmark undertaking signals a seismic leap forward for Europe’s technology landscape. This project ensures DCX Liquid Cooling Systems’ innovative approach to deploying liquid cooling will set the industry standard for years to come.
About the Facility Distribution Unit (FDU)
Facility Distribution Unit (FDU) represents a new category of high-capacity CDUs, engineered not for individual rack rows, but for entire Data Halls and hyperscale facility installations.
It Delivers up to 5 MW of heat transfer per unit at an approach temperature of approx. 4°C with a primary flow rate of 435 m³/h, providing highly efficient and reliable cooling for large-scale, high-density AI and HPC server clusters. Its N+1 Redundant Pumps System features 4 high-capacity industrial pumps delivering 8,000 L/min and guarantees continuous operation even during pump failures. FDU includes automatic coolant leveling and leak detection to maintain optimal coolant levels and prevent unexpected downtime. It also utilizes advanced control mechanisms to prevent condensation and ensure consistent, safe operation.
Finally, it employs a dual-loop system with adaptive flow management to maintain consistent coolant quality and flexible temperature control. Facility Distribution Unit is engineered to be smarter, more reliable and perfectly aligned with the future of AI-driven and high-performance computing environments.
