Today DCX Liquid Cooling Systems announced a new portfolio of three industry standard CDU systems built on its proprietary DCX ECDU (Enterprise Coolant Distribution Unit) platform. Designed for mission-critical, high-density environments where uninterrupted cooling is essential, the new systems expand DCX’s liquid cooling offering for enterprise and colocation deployments.

The new lineup includes:

  • Enterprise ECDU 1380/2600 V1, offering 1.38 MW to 2.6 MW of real cooling capacity,

  • Mission Critical ECDU 1380/2600 V1H2, with redundant heat exchangers and additional high availability features, and

  • Entry ECDU 600/1200 V1 model, dedicated for affordable and rapid liquid cooling deployments, delivering up to 1.2 MW of cooling capacity in a compact, cost-efficient platform.

Together, these systems create a broad CDU portfolio spanning from 600 kW up to 2.6 MW, enabling operators to match performance, redundancy, and investment level to the needs of each deployment. New ECDU series is designed to address a wide range of applications—from enterprise data halls and colocation environments to cloud infrastructure and hyperscale facilities.

“In an era of rapidly escalating rack densities and the explosive growth of liquid-cooled AI deployments, we see that data center infrastructure manufacturers often offer technically outdated or limited solutions that can’t keep pace with today’s demands,” said Maciek Szadkowski, CTO at DCX. “With our new ECDU platform, we are redefining the industry once again – delivering superior performance, greater resiliency, and better energy efficiency than anything else on the market. Most importantly, this is the most affordable CDU portfolio available today in a standard rack or in-row form factor.”

A Portfolio Built for Different Deployment Priorities

The new DCX ECDU family is designed to serve different operational priorities across the market.

At the high end, the Enterprise ECDU 1380/2600 series is DCX’s most powerful CDU platform, engineered for large secondary loops and demanding high-density environments. It is available in an industry-standard configuration as well as a high-availability version with redundant heat exchangers and redundant sensors, giving operators the ability to choose between maximum performance and enhanced resilience without changing the underlying platform.

The ECDU 600/1200 extends the platform into a highly flexible entry to mid-range class, offering strong cooling performance in either single-pump or dual-pump configurations, making it suitable for a broad range of enterprise and colocation applications.

The Entry ECDU 600/1200 model is designed as an accessible, rapid-deployment CDU for customers seeking a cost-effective path into direct liquid cooling. With integrated options and accessories for fast installation—including a built-in Secondary Fluid Network assembly—it provides one of the most affordable entry points into enterprise-grade liquid cooling while preserving the architecture, control philosophy, and integration flexibility of the broader DCX portfolio.

Part of the New DCX Integrated Liquid Cooling Systems Portfolio

The new ECDU systems form the backbone of the refreshed DCX Integrated Liquid Cooling Systems Portfolio (ILCS), a comprehensive offering that brings together the key components of both the secondary fluid network and the facility cooling loop.

While many suppliers focus on individual CDU models with limited capacity or feature sets, DCX’s approach is broader. The new Enterprise ECDU 1380/2600 systems, together with the ECDU 600/1300 and Entry ECDU 600/1200, are designed to work as part of a complete liquid cooling architecture that also includes hyperscale-class FDU (Facility Coolant Distribution Unit) systems.

In a market where many vendors provide standalone or narrowly scoped CDU offerings, DCX stands apart with the industry’s broadest and most integrated liquid cooling portfolio. Combining three versatile Enterprise & Entry ECDU platforms (spanning affordable entry-level to high-redundancy configurations) with three powerful Facility Distribution Units (FDUs) with 5MW up toto 16 MW capacity for hyperscale AI datacenters, we offer a complete, end-to-end liquid cooling ecosystem that covers every layer of the cooling architecture. This comprehensive approach positions DCX as the premier supplier for sustainable, high-performance liquid cooling across all data center segments.”

Hardware-Level Redundancy for Always-On Cooling

Data centers cannot afford downtime caused by single points of failure in cooling infrastructure, especially when high-density racks rely on stable flow, pressure, and supply temperatures. DCX ECDU systems are engineered with a high-availability architecture that includes N+1 redundant pumps, power supplies, and controls, with optional redundancy for heat exchangers and sensors on selected configurations.

This hardware-level resilience helps maintain continuous coolant delivery during maintenance activities or unexpected component events, protecting thermal stability and supporting uninterrupted operation of business-critical workloads.

Designed for Efficient Heat Exchange and High-Temperature Operation

All three new CDU platforms are designed for 45°C cooling operation and support AT3-class heat exchange efficiency, enabling tighter thermal control and improved energy performance compared with more conventional approach temperature designs.

By supporting high heat-transfer efficiency and stable secondary loop conditions, the ECDU portfolio helps operators scale liquid cooling capacity while maintaining control over space, power, and cooling plant efficiency.

Performance and Integration for Complex Secondary Loops

The enterprise-class ECDU systems are designed to support demanding distribution networks and complex secondary loop layouts. The ECDU 1380/2600 platform delivers up to 3,333 lpm in single-pump configuration, while the ECDU 600/1300 provides up to 750 lpm single-pump or 1,500 lpm in dual-pump configuration.

Connection flexibility is built in, with support for both primary and secondary loop interfaces via top entry or technical floor connection, simplifying integration across retrofit and new-build facilities.

Smart Monitoring and Control

The ECDU platform includes integrated coolant monitoring with built-in cooling medium quality sensors to support long-term fluid stability and compatibility with water treatment strategies. A 12-inch HMI provides comprehensive local visibility and control, while remote monitoring and group control functions enable centralized management across multiple CDU installations.

These capabilities help operators respond faster to anomalies, simplify day-to-day operations, and maintain more consistent cooling performance at scale.

European Manufacturing Advantage

DCX also stands out as a distinctive player in the direct liquid cooling market as an EU-based manufacturer of AI-class liquid cooling systems. While the market includes several recognized US-based cooling technology providers, DCX offers customers a European source for advanced liquid cooling infrastructure designed for modern high-density computing environments.
